This project was a self portrait, and honestly, I completely forgot about this project. But for a while I didn't know what to do. At the time, I was still working on project 4, which was a bunch of faces. So I decided that I could make this project kind of like my last one, so I could knock out two projects in one. But I completely forgot to draw my face. Since I don't draw faces too often, I'm very slow at it, so I've been falling behind in art. I'm also bad at deciding what to do.
But Mrs. Rossi gave us ideas to make shadows or do other stuff to make the portrait a little more unique. I decided to go into my closet and bring a lamp. I know I also didn't want to smile, but I couldn't just look at the camera; that's too boring. So I took a couple with my face tilted differently and with my mouth closed and opened. I chose a favorite. I then edited the picture on the computer to make the colors stand out a little more and then made it black-and-white. Mrs. Rossi asked me why I only used one color for my other portraits, and that's because I'm really bad with colors; I can't make colors look good together. And that's why most of everything is in black-and-white.
Here's the original and what I'm going to draw. I cropped it like that so I'm able to put it in with my other portraits.
