I spilled water on this, which was lame. But that's okay because I didn't like it to begin with. We were suppose to draw real bows, but I don't like to draw that kind of stuff, so I struggled trying to draw something I don't like to draw. I ended up making it out of design stuff I like to do. I think my favorite bow is the green one because it looks most like a bow, I think at least. I used fine tipped markers for the patterns in the bows and for the arrows. I'm not sure why I put the giant swirl in there. I don't think I like that either. And there are't enough patterns and the giant purple thing looks horrible. And I tried to add more water to fix the water spill, but that made it worse. |

I originally was going to do "strength and stability" for this project, but I had asked someone for pictures and they never gave them to me. I then decided to find my own pictures and try a collage. But I ended up not liking that idea, so then I thought about doing the opposite of "strength and stability" but putting a motivating quote in the middle. The purpose would be to help inspire people. I was aware that was a cheesy notion, but I looked up quotes anyway. I ended up putting a few things together, but not liking that idea either. So I decided to make this my landscape project.
I had found a picture of trees and I drew a black tree and didn't like how it looked. So I reread the quotes and saw the bird quote. I drew more black lines and paint splattered a bit and drew the person and the birds and added the quote. I'm not sure if I like it yet, because after finishing it, I realized how lame the quote was because it said "I always wonder..." and then it said "...Then I ask myself the same question." Does that mean every time he/she wonders that, he asks himself that? You'd think he'd only ask himself that once unless he/she has short-term memory loss, but it says "always." But that's okay. I'll read quotes more thoroughly next time. This was a pet portrait, and I decided to draw my cat because I don't have any other pets. My cat's name is Izzy and she's a calico. She's pretty spazzy, but this picture says otherwise. She's also a very soft cat, which my drawing also doesn't portray. I made her look more rough. I thought this picture was a little more easier to draw because I didn't have to draw her eyes.
I used prisma colored pencils on black paper. It was also hard to get her fur right because I accidentally drew this extremely small. I didn't realize it until I finally looked up. |
